Welcome to Adri’s video series, a dancer who fractured her ankle. This series will consist of a total of nine videos. This one corresponds to Part 5.
The video opens with Adri getting out of the car and walking down the street using crutches, showing off her red pedicure. Even though it’s winter and she is clearly cold, she is not wearing any socks in this video. A dark bruise is clearly visible at the base of her toes on the top of her foot. Her toes are noticeably swollen and their movement is limited because of the injury.
She walks outside using her crutches while people around her look at her with curiosity and surprise. She then arrives at an urban train stop and sits down on the bench, raising her injured leg. The camera focuses closely on her toes and also on the sole of her foot, which shows dead, peeling skin after spending so many days in a cast.
There are close-up shots from different angles while she talks about her cast, how it feels to be immobilized, and the discomfort she experiences. After that, she puts several toe rings on the toes of her casted foot. This causes her some pain and difficulty because her toes are swollen, but she eventually manages to put them on.
Finally, she stands up again and continues walking with her crutches along the street for a fairly long distance, until she reaches the car and gets inside.
